A pilot was injured on Tuesday morning after a light aircraft struck a high-voltage electricity tower in Sevilla.
The aircraft was carrying out crop-spraying work when it crashed in Isla Mayor, just a few kilometres southwest of Sevilla city.
Emergency services were alerted at 6.58am after receiving reports that the plane had come down near the A-8053 road.
A major emergency response was launched, involving the Guardia Civil, Policia Nacional, firefighters and medical teams.
Fire crews from Mairena del Aljarafe and Sanlucar la Mayor, supported by volunteer firefighters from Pilas, rushed to the scene and worked to free the pilot from the wreckage.
The injured man was stabilised at the crash site before being transferred to hospital for treatment.
Authorities have not yet released details about the extent of his injuries.
The aircraft was reportedly carrying out fumigation work when it collided with the electricity infrastructure before plunging to the ground.
Firefighters remained at the scene following the rescue operation to monitor and contain a fuel spill caused by the crash.
