A British family is facing a double tragedy on the Costa del Sol after a 69-year-old man vanished in Malaga on the same day his son disappeared in the sea before later being found dead on a nearby beach.
Stephan Kiss has been missing since April 29, according to appeals shared by his family and circulated online in both Spain and the UK.
The disappearance came just hours before the body of his 25-year-old son was eventually discovered on Playa de Huelin following a major search operation.
The young Briton had last been seen entering the sea at Playa de la Misericordia shortly before 10.30pm on April 29.
Emergency services launched a large-scale search involving police, lifeguards, the Red Cross and coastguard teams after witnesses reported the swimmer never came back out of the water.
His body was found on May 2 on the sand at nearby Huelin beach.
Police later confirmed on May 5 that the deceased man was the missing British swimmer.
Authorities have not publicly disclosed the exact cause of death, although the Policia Nacional reportedly do not consider the death suspicious.
Now the family is desperately searching for Stephan Kiss, whose disappearance has sparked growing concern.

His daughter, Aileen Saint, has issued emotional appeals on social media urging the public to help trace her father’s movements.
Aileen told the Spanish Eye that the duo had driven down to the Costa del Sol from France, and that they were sleeping in their car.
She said her father ‘did not have a phone’ and that he shared one with Travis, putting his sim card in there.
She revealed that it was actually her father who vanished first, and that Travis was looking for him when he disappeared.
‘Travis went to the British consulate in Malaga on April 29,’ she said.
‘He told them him and my dad went for breakfast, Travis went to the toilet, and when he came back our dad was gone.’
She said the family’s anguish has been made even worse by simultaneously grieving the death of her brother while still not knowing what has happened to their father.
According to the missing persons notice, Stephan Kiss is around 1.68 metres tall, slim, has very little hair and blue eyes.
Attention has also been drawn to a black Subaru with British registration plates that may be linked to the case.
Police and the family are urging anyone who may have seen Stephan Kiss, the vehicle or anything suspicious in the Málaga area to contact emergency services immediately.
