A new so-called DANA is set to bring fresh bouts of rain to Andalucia next week, meteorologists have warned.
Weather across the region will remain unsettled this weekend, although rainfall is expected to be light and scattered.
Conditions are set to change early next week as the DANA – an isolated high-altitude depression – moves across Spain, bringing more cloud and rain to the region, according to state weather agency Aemet.
The start of next week will see the arrival of this weather system, which will once again destabilise the atmosphere.
However, forecasters say there is still uncertainty about the exact path of the DANA and therefore where the heaviest rain will fall.
Monday is expected to begin with mostly clear skies before cloud cover increases throughout the morning.
Light rain is forecast to spread across much of the region later in the day, with the most persistent showers expected in Cordoba, Jaen and northern parts of Sevilla and Huelva.
On Tuesday skies are expected to remain overcast, with rain and possible thunderstorms forecast mainly in eastern Andalucia – particularly in Cordoba, Malaga, Jaen, Granada and Almeria.
Other provinces will see intervals of cloud but less rainfall.

By Wednesday, the chance of rain will remain but is expected to decrease significantly. Aemet says forecasts still carry some uncertainty, although current models suggest the unsettled conditions will gradually ease by midweek.
Temperatures will stay relatively mild but with cooler conditions early next week. On Sunday, Sevilla is expected to reach 19C with lows of 9C. Almeria will see highs of 16C, Cadiz 17C and Malaga around 16C.
Inland cities will be slightly cooler, with Cordoba and Granada starting the day at around 4C and reaching highs of around 17C.
On Monday temperatures will remain similar in Sevilla, Malaga and Cadiz at around 19C, while Granada and Cordoba will see slightly cooler conditions with highs of 16C and 17C respectively.
Tuesday is expected to be the coldest day of the week in Andalucia. Minimum temperatures could drop to around 5C in Granada and 7C in Jaen and Sevilla.
Maximum temperatures will remain moderate, reaching around 15C in Almeria, 14C in Cadiz and Malaga, and up to 17C in Sevilla and Huelva.
Granada is expected to be the coolest provincial capital with a high of around 12C.
