Firefighters have released footage of the devastating fire that tore through multiple businesses in Torremolinos on Sunday.

Video from the Malaga Firefighting Consortium shows the seven bars and a supermarket completely engulfed in flames, which took hold at around 5am yesterday.

The force said in a post on X: ‘Our #Torremolinos unit intervened due to the fire in eight attached premises during this early morning on Calle Isabel Allende

‘The fire affected seven bars, one in its entirety and the terraces of the rest, and a supermarket, partially. No personal injuries.’

A devastating fire that gutted at least seven bars and restaurants in Torremolinos was started as part of a local feud, it has been claimed.

The inferno broke out on calle Salvador Allende at around 5am on Sunday.

Footage shared on Instagram shows a row of bars and restaurants completely ablaze.

An Irish bar and other British-run businesses are among the affected.

One local expat told the Spanish Eye that the fire was started deliberately and is part of a local feud.

‘They tried to set fire to a specific bar the night before but it didn’t take hold,’ they explained.

‘Then they have obviously come back in the early hours of today and tried again but have set fire to the whole row.

They added the feud was simply between two men who have fallen out, and not gangland related.

The cause of the fire is not yet confirmed by police as the investigation is ongoing.
