A 25-year-old has died after being hit by a car on the A-7 in Marbella.
The unnamed youngster was struck opposite the casino by the Hard Rock hotel, near Nueva Andalucia and Puerto Banus.
Calls were made to the 112 emergency service at around 1.52pm.
Witnesses said a man was lying in the middle of the road after being hit by a car travelling in the direction of Malaga.
It is not known if he was trying to cross the dual carriageway on foot or merely stepped out into the road.
Paramedics, Policia Nacional and the Guardia Civil were dispatched to the site of the crash.
The young man’s death was pronounced at the scene. No further details have been released.
