An Irishman who disappeared during a holiday to Spain three days ago has finally been found.

Barry Kelly had last been seen at Alicante airport on Saturday, April 26 – two days before a ‘historic’ blackout sparked chaos across the country.

His ‘very worried’ sister Colette Kelly launched an online appeal to find him.

But in an update on Tuesday night she wrote: ‘Thanks everybody for your help looking for Barry. He has made contact and is OK.

‘I really appreciate the kindness and helpfulness of friends, family, and all who have contacted us.’

In the original appeal on Monday, Colette said her brother may have been in a ‘vulnerable place’.

She said: ‘We are trying to get him home, but cannot contact him. If anybody sees him, please let us know. He may be in a vulnerable place.

‘His name is Barry Kelly. He was wearing a denim jacket, white t-shirt and green combat trousers.’
