Watch: Locals in Marbella fume after migrants moved into four-star hotel ‘without warning’

Locals in Marbella are fuming after migrants were moved into a four-star hotel ‘without warning’ this week.

In a politically-charged video, hard-right party Vox spoke to residents in Ojen, where the Wellness Marbella Hills Hotel has been temporarily closed to house the boat migrants.

More than 100 mostly young men arrived this week without any of the residents being informed.

Ojen is home to fewer than 5,000 inhabitants and sits an area of natural beauty next to the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park.

Vox wasted no time in visiting the area, preparing a three-minute video in which they interviewed ‘scared’ residents.

‼️ Los vecinos de Ojén dicen NO a los inmigrantes ilegales.

"Mi hija no puede salir y si sale es acompañada".

"Que yo no pueda comprarme una vivienda y estas personas estén aquí, me parece de traca".

One woman told the interviewer that she has forbidden her daughter from going out alone because ‘I’m scared’.

‘These are people who we do not know, we don’t know if they are coming with good intentions or not,’ she said.

Another man said that the area usually has front doors open and children playing in the street, but that now people feel ‘unsafe’.

The clip shows migrants walking along the motorway and hanging out in the vicinity of the hotel or on the balconies of their €90-a-night rooms.

The Vox cameraman then asks prime minister Pedro Sanchez directly: ‘Who will be responsible if one of these migrants commits a robbery, a rape or an attack?’

He added: ‘From Vox we demand the immediate expulsion of all illegal migrants from the province of Malaga…

‘We will not rest until there is peace and tranquility in this town… in all of Malaga.’

The president of Vox in Malaga, Antonio Sevilla, and the spokesperson for the Vox Provincial Group, Antonio Luna, previously blasted the measure, which, according to them, reflects the ‘distribution’ of ‘illegal immigrants’ across different parts of the Costa del Sol.

‘They wanted to relocate them to Torremolinos, but they ended up relocating them to Ojen,’ Sevilla claimed.

‘What is the exact cost of more than 100 illegal immigrants staying in this four-star hotel in Ojen?… while the people of Malaga cannot access housing or our elderly do not have enough places in public residences.’

Luna charged: ‘The only possible option is the immediate expulsion of all of them.’
