A British tourist who failed to catch his flight home from Malaga on Tuesday has been found alive and well, his wife confirmed tonight.

Luke Tomlinson, 42, had last been seen at the British consulate in Malaga at 2.30pm yesterday.

His spouse Andrea Tomlinson told the Spanish Eye tonight that he has been found and is catching a flight home to the UK.

Luke was originally due to fly from Malaga to Luton on Tuesday but failed to board his 7.30pm flight, sparking concern among loved ones.

He had been holidaying with friends but was flying home alone because he missed his flight on Monday.

He was staying in Nerja while some of his friends were at the Benalmadena Sunset Beach hotel.

Andrea explained earlier on Wednesday: ‘The Embassy gave him a train fare to the airport and printed his boarding pass but he never got on the plane.’
