A gun disguised as a walking stick was among a cache of weapons seized during a major drug raid in Almeria.

Nine people were arrested after the Policia Nacional dismantled a criminal network accused of trafficking cocaine, hashish and tusi (pink cocaine).

There were five simultaneous raids in Aguadulce and La Mojonera on September 22 as part of Operation Candela.

The searches uncovered approximately 1.15kg of hashish, 75g of cocaine and 64g of tusi, some of which had already been divided into individual quantities and prepared for sale.

Police also seized €31,675 in cash, precision scales, plastic bags and other equipment allegedly used to weigh and package the drugs.

But the most unusual discovery was an imitation firearm concealed inside what appeared to be an ordinary walking stick.

Footage shared by police shows an office loading a bullet into the diamonte-encrusted stick, revealing how it’s top acted as a kind of piston when pulled up and released.

A 12-gauge shotgun, a .22-calibre rifle, large quantities of ammunition, an air pistol, an electric defence device, machetes and several knives were also confiscated.

All the weapons will now be examined by forensic specialists.

The investigation began during a separate inquiry into suspected money laundering.

Information uncovered during that probe suggested several people could be selling cocaine in Roquetas de Mar.

Police believe the network had been operating since at least February 2026 and had a stable structure, with individual members assigned specific roles.

The nine suspects, who are of several nationalities, were arrested following the searches.

Four were released under investigation after giving statements to police. The remaining five were brought before a court in Roquetas de Mar, which will decide whether they should be remanded in custody.
