A 75-year-old has been violently robbed of his Aston Martin outside his Costa del Sol home.
The incident occurred over the weekend when the pensioner was confronted by two men while leaving his property in Benalmadena.
Investigators are also examining whether the thieves made off with three high-end luxury watches during the robbery, although this has yet to be confirmed.
The exact model of the vehicle has not been disclosed, but Aston Martin cars typically command six-figure price tags, with many models valued well above €100,000.
The iconic British marque is best known for its long association with the James Bond film franchise and, more recently, its Formula One partnership with Spanish driver Fernando Alonso.
The Policia Nacional have launched an investigation to establish exactly how the robbery unfolded and identify those responsible. No arrests have yet been made.
It comes just months after police dismantled an international car theft network operating on the Costa del Sol.
In that operation, six suspects were arrested after police uncovered an organised scheme that allegedly stole vehicles before altering their identities and selling them as legitimate cars in Spain and elsewhere across Europe.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the Benalmadena robbery to come forward.
