This is the moment a van partially exploded in the middle of the A-7 in Marbella on Monday.
Footage shared on Instagram showed the white vehicle sat stationary on the dual carriageway while engulfed in flames.
Drivers could be seen steering clear of the van as they approached the nearby tunnel en route to San Pedro de Alcantara.
The film was recorded by a passenger travelling in a passing car.
He can be heard saying in Spanish: ‘Don’t get close to that because it could explode.’
A small explosion is then witnessed from the front end of the vehicle, sending parts flying into the traffic.
Sirens could be heard in the background as emergency services began to arrive at the scene.
The cause of the fire has not yet been reported.
There are no known injuries at the time of reporting.
