A dramatic arrest has taken place on the roof of a shopping centre in Marbella.
It follows an incident at the Marina Banus mall, located opposite El Corte Ingles in Puerto Banus.
Footage shared online shows an unidentified man being detained by at least five Policia Nacional officers.
While he is reduced to the floor with his hands behind his back, an officer hits him twice with a baton.
A second officer is then seen punching him several times.
A crowd had gathered below to record and watch the incident unfold, with one person filming it on their phone.
One woman can be heard shouting: ‘But why are they beating him?!’
The Spanish Eye has contacted the Policia Nacional for comment.
