Well over 100 roads have been closed in Andalucia on Saturday as Storm Marta wreaks more havoc across the region.
The areas hardest hit are in Cadiz, which has the highest number of flood-related road closures.
A total of 26 sections are fully closed and on the highest ‘black level’ alert. This is followed by Cordoba, where 18 roads are completely shut.
In Cadiz, flooding has forced full closures on roads including stretches of the A-384, A-2101, A-2102, CA-3110, CA-3113 and CA-6105, among others on the secondary network.
Cordoba and Sevilla: secondary roads closed
Cordoba’s closures include the regional A-333 near Iznajar and the A-431R2 in Posadas.
Several bridges are also closed, including those on the CO-3313, CO-4205 and CO-4207, along with blocked stretches on the CO-5211, CO-6103, CO-7409, CO-8201 and CP-14.
In Sevilla, 10 secondary roads are fully closed. Notable examples include the A-8100, SE-9225, SE-BG-04, as well as the SE-437 and SE-485.
Elsewhere, flooding has led to 12 closures in Jaen, four in Malaga including the MA-8302, and three in Granada, among them the A-4026.
Snow-related restrictions in Granada
Meanwhile, snow continues to affect roads in Granada province. The DGT reports problems on the mountain passes of the A-395 and the A-4025. The use of snow chains or winter tyres is mandatory at red alert level on sections of the A-395 (km 16–32) and on the A-4301.
In addition, red-level warnings for very dangerous driving conditions due to flooding are in place on roads such as the A-372 in Cadiz and the GR-4105 in Granada.
The DGT is urging drivers to check weather forecasts and road conditions before travelling and to avoid unnecessary journeys while conditions remain unstable.

Marbella road closures
Marbella has also closed multiple roads and tunnels as it prepares for more deluge on Saturday.
The town hall said in a statement: ‘City firefighters are working to cut down and remove a fallen tree on Calle Alonso de Bazan, which damaged a vehicle.
‘In Marbella, the La Cañada tunnels, which provide access to El Cable Beach, as well as the Artola, Golden Beach, and Ricmar tunnels, remain closed to traffic.
‘In San Pedro Alcantara, the Camino de Cortes de Guadalmina road is closed, as are the access roads to the concrete plant and Cortijo Blanco from the 27th district.
‘The Carril de Picaza road and the Los Pinos residential area are open, with constant monitoring.’
