A leading cardiologist in Spain has revealed the best time to drink your morning coffee.

Aurelio Rojas explained in a TikTok video that the temptation for millions is to drink the stimulant as soon as they wake up.

However, the heart expert said this is not the best way to get the most out of the coffee’s caffeine.

He said: ‘Upon waking, your body naturally activates the morning cortisol surge, key for energy, alertness, and cardiovascular regulation.

Referencias 1. ‘If you drink coffee right then, the caffeine doesn’t add up; it overlaps: less of an actual effect and more tolerance.’

He added: ‘Waiting 60 to 90 minutes improves the response to coffee, respects your circadian rhythm, and reduces nervousness and palpitations in sensitive individuals.

‘Coffee is healthy. Timing matters.’
