A pair US tourists have won over locals in southern Spain after being taken aback by the quality of their food.

TikToker Sofia (@sofiaringvald) and her friend filmed themselves tucking into some classic dishes at La Bartola, a popular eatery in the heart of Sevilla, Andalucia.

The pair ordered an array of plates to give everything a try, with some of them leaving the duo speechless.

The first dish was a simple plate of jamon on bread with olive oil, which they immediately ranked a 10/10, saying ‘it’s just so good.’

They then tucked into salmorejo, a traditional cold soup, and some ‘spicy’ croquetas, ranking them an 8.5 and a six out of 10 respectively.

But their minds were later blown by the grilled octopus leg, covered in what appear to be tuna shavings and wakame puree.

One of the tourists is left speechless after taking her first bite, adding: ’12/10, this is a sweet potato puree sauce, it’s cooked to perfection, it’s ridiculous… there’s a lot going on and I’m liking every second.’

There fifth and final tapa was carrillada (slow-cooked pork cheeks), finished off by a couple of desserts.

Spaniards praised the pair in the couple, with one telling them: ‘Please enjoy our food and culture! Lots of love and I hope you took a bit of our land in your hearts.’

Another said: ‘I love you guys,’ whole one added, ‘the tapas was beautiful but your guys’ delivery took them to a 10!’
