Storm Olivier will bring 100km/hr winds and monster waves that could reach up to seven metres, meteorologists have warned.

The severe conditions have been predicted for parts of Andalucia on Thursday, when several weather alerts are in place.

Much of Cadiz province is on an orange alert between 6pm and 11.59pm, with winds of up to 100km/hr forecast.

The wind warnings extend into Ronda, Malaga, with gales of 70km/hr expected to blast through the historic citadel during the same period.

Meanwhile, the whole Almeria coastline is on a yellow warning for the same velocity of winds, but from 6am until 11.59pm.
