The drugs seized by the Guardia Civil

Two alleged narcos have been caught handling drugs inside a hotel room in Mijas.

The men, both aged 21, attempted to dump 716g of hashish into the hotel gardens after Guardia Civil officers turned up at their room.

The authorities were hunting a Frenchman who is wanted in court to face drug trafficking charges.

But when entering the hotel room under his name, they found the two youngsters instead, who chucked the tablets of drugs out the window.

They attempted to flee but their exits were blocked. According to the Guardia Civil, the drugs had been prepared for distribution.

Both men were arrested and brought before a judge on drug trafficking charges.

The Guardia Civil’s hunt for the French fugitive continues.
