A manhunt is underway for a teenage e-scooter rider accused of mowing down a five-year-old boy on the Costa del Sol.
Photos shared by the alleged victim’s family show how the youngster suffered serious bruising all over his body and a gash to his head.
The incident is alleged to have happened in Sabinillas, Manilva, at around 4pm on Tuesday.
Speaking to Manilva WS, the family said: ‘At 4pm, a boy from Sabinillas ran over my five-year-old nephew with an electric scooter and fled the scene. The police are looking for him, but he hasn’t been found.
‘He was a Moroccan boy, about 13 or 14 years old. My nephew is in the hospital because he was thrown into the air.
‘I’d like to know if this can be published to help find the boy and file a report. He was wearing a white tracksuit and going the wrong way down the road at high speed.
‘The police are looking for him, but they had already been warned because they saw him doing wheelies on the scooter in Sabinillas.’
She added: ‘We wish the little boy a speedy recovery; he’s completely innocent.’
