A manhunt is underway for two clumsy robbers who launched a chaotic raid against a luxury watch store in Marbella.
The hapless duo were caught on CCTV will their full faces on view as they dragged a female employee across the shop floor before locking her in the bathroom.
The incident occurred at 12.30pm inside the Watch Club store on Avenida Julio Iglesias in Puerto Banus on Thursday, August 20.
According to the business, whose account of the robbery has been confirmed in part by the Policia Nacional, the two men forced their way into the store before overpowering the female employee working inside.
Before locking her in the toilet, they took a set of keys from her pocket, apparently believing they would give them access to the shop’s secure display cabinets.
Unfortunately for the robbers, they had taken the wrong set of keys.
Catalogue of errors
The keys were actually for the shop’s front door, setting off what the business described as a string of mistakes by the alleged thieves.
After unsuccessfully trying to use them to open the reinforced displays, the pair resorted to smashing one of the glass cabinets to reach the watches inside.

At least one of them cut himself on the broken glass in the process, leaving blood at the scene which was later collected by forensic officers.
After incorrectly using the stolen keys in the main door, the men allegedly jammed the lock and temporarily trapped themselves inside the shop they were trying to rob.
They eventually managed to force their way out and fled on foot.
In their rush to escape, they also abandoned two travel bags which they had brought with them to carry away the haul.
Despite the catalogue of errors, the pair succeeded in stealing four high-end pieces worth more than €400,000.
Faces caught on CCTV
The Policia Nacional has confirmed via respected newspaper El Español that an investigation into the robbery is underway.
According to Watch Club, officers from the force’s robbery and forensic units attended the scene and collected evidence including fingerprints and biological samples believed to have been left by the suspects.
No arrests had been announced as of Friday.
