This is the moment a clandestine lab allegedly making drug-laced sweets was dismantled in Orihuela Costa.
Footage shared by the Guardia Civil shows officers raiding a villa in an area largely populated by British expats.
The investigation began after officers intercepted a shipment at Barcelona-El Prat Airport containing 2.5kg of methamphetamine hidden inside a cable reel.
That discovery led investigators to the illegal laboratory in Orihuela Costa, where officers uncovered what they described as a significant operation.
The Guardia Civil said two people have been arrested on suspicion of producing and selling chocolate bars and gummy sweets adulterated with narcotic substances.
During the raid, the Guardia Civil seized 29kg of illegal substances, dismantled a hallucinogenic mushroom cultivation site and arrested two suspects.
Both individuals have since been remanded in pre-trial detention while the investigation continues.
The Guardia Civil has not yet released further details on the intended market for the drug-laced confectionery or whether additional arrests are expected.
