A driver had to be cut out from his car after crashing and becoming trapped inside the vehicle during an accident in Torremolinos on Saturday morning.
According to Malaga’s Provincial Fire Consortium, the accident happened at around 8am at the Glorieta de la Cañada de los Cardos roundabout after the car veered off the road.
Emergency crews found the driver trapped inside the wrecked vehicle and firefighters were forced to carry out an extraction operation.
The man was the sole occupant of the car.
Images from the scene show the heavily damaged vehicle after the crash.
Alongside firefighters, Andalucia’s 112 emergency service also dispatched local police officers and paramedics to the scene.
The injured driver was later transferred by ambulance to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
No further details have been released.
