A serious crash on the A-7 motorway near Marbella sparked traffic chaos on Tuesday morning.
Footage shared online showed fire engines, police and paramedics responding to an overturned car.
The accident took place at approximately 7.45am in the Cadiz-bound lane. triggering a traffic jam stretching up to eight kilometres.
The nearby A‑355, which connects Ojen to Marbella, was also affected, with drivers facing an additional five kilometres of tailbacks.
The gridlock compounded the chaos for commuters trying to access the coast from inland areas.
According to the Traffic Management Centre, normal traffic flow wasn’t fully restored until around 10am, once the overturned vehicle had been cleared from the road.
Authorities have not yet released details about the number of injuries.
