A series of weather alerts have been activated for the Costa del Sol and parts of Cadiz province.

The yellow warnings were today issued by Spain’s state weather agency Aemet.

The meteorologists are forecasting heavy rain for both areas on Monday, when the official alerts are in place.

The rainy weather is being caused by the effects of Hurricane Gabrielle, which will have become a storm by the time it passes by Spain.

However, it will still be felt, with heavy rain forecast in western Andalucia.

Most of Sevilla province and parts of Huelva are on a yellow alert for heavy rain on Sunday.
