A SPANISH cardiologist has issued a warning over two ‘silent enemies’ that could be behind surging cancer rates among young people.

Aurelio Rojas took to his popular TikTok channel to offer advice on what to avoid eating.

He said: ‘There are two products that are killing you, and although I am a cardiologist, I have to tell you this.

‘It is resulting in the fact that the detection of cancer among young people has surged by 80% in recent years.

‘Among the cancers found are of the breast, stomach, pancreas, colon and prostate.

‘All these cancers have something in common, and it is that they are associated with elevated levels of insulin, that acts as a powerful factor in growing, stimulating the proliferation of cancer cells.

‘And there are two foods in your diet that elevate the production of insulin; sugar and refined wheat flour.

‘Coincidentally, they are the two products that produce the most heart issues also. So if you want to prevent disease and look after yourself, you already know what foods to avoid.’

Foods containing refined wheat flour include white bread, pasta and a variety of baked goods such as cookies, cakes and pastries.
