READ UPDATE: Jason Taylor is found in Alicante after three-day search

THE family of a missing British tourist are flying out to Spain today after he mysteriously vanished from Alicante airport over 48 hours ago.

Jason Taylor was due to fly back to the UK at 10.30am on Saturday morning, but never boarded his flight.

He was last seen at Alicante airport at around 8.30am on Saturday, when he is said to have had trouble scanning his boarding pass.

The married engineer from Caersws, Wales, had been enjoying a stag do with friends in Benidorm.

His wife Maria Taylor (pictured together above) told the Spanish Eye this morning: ‘I just want him home. we’ve literally covered everything, it’s all with the police and we have family going over today.

‘Hopefully we’ll find out more now that more things are open.’

She added: ‘He was on a stag do… he was going to sort out his boarding pass because it wouldn’t scan and that was the last time he was seen.’

An appeal online by Jason’s aunt at the weekend read: ‘Has anyone in Alicante seen the guy in the red top?… It’s my nephew and he was due back on the 10.30am flight this morning but didn’t board it.

‘We know he was at the airport at 8.30ish but hasn’t been seen since. He lost his phone yesterday so we have no way of contacting him…

‘If anyone can help in looking for him as a family we would really appreciate it.

‘There is now a police alert on his passport so we know he is still in Spain. Please help us get Jason home.’
