Weather alerts covering parts of Cadiz and Malaga have been upgraded from yellow to orange.
The warnings, issued by state weather agency Aemet, are in place from Saturday night, before ending at 9pm on Sunday in Cadiz and 6pm in Malaga.
They cover the tip of Cadiz, including Algeciras, Tarifa and La Linea de la Concepcion, plus Malaga’s Costa del Sol and Guadalhorce Valley regions.
Aemet is warning of up to 100m of rain per square metre over a 12-hour period.

The extreme weather is being brought by Storm Francis, which has brought widespread downpours across the country and a cold snap.
