Outrage in Sevilla as water shortage during brutal heatwave leaves 17,000 people cut off

The issues are being sparked by reservoirs running low and pumping systems failing after weeks of high demand amid excessive temperatures.

Some 17,000 people are suffering nightly water cuts in Sevilla during one of the hottest summers in history. The affected towns are in the Sierra Sur area of the province, and comprise Martin de la Jara, Los Corrales, El Saucejo, Algamitas, Villa
