A 19-year-old has died in a horror car crash in Alhaurin el Grande.
The accident happened at around 11pm on Friday on Calle Rio Guadalmedina, along the route connecting the town with Villafranco.
Several witnesses contacted the 112 emergency service after seeing a vehicle leave the road and fall down an embankment.
They reported that someone was injured inside the car and required urgent medical assistance.
Firefighters, Guardia Civil officers, Local Police and paramedics were dispatched to the scene, but medical personnel could only confirm the teenager’s death.
It was not immediately clear whether anyone else was inside the vehicle or what caused it to leave the road.
The fatal crash comes a week after another serious accident nearby.
A 54-year-old man died and three other people were injured, including a two-year-old boy, following a head-on collision in Mijas.
The child, a 26-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man were taken to the Hospital Costa del Sol for treatment.
