One of the world’s most prestigious hotel brands has officially entered Europe’s booming branded residences market, unveiling a collection of ultra-luxury villas in Sotogrande with prices starting at €2.75million.
Fairmont Residences La Hacienda will comprise 31 private homes overlooking the Mediterranean, making it the first branded residential development by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts anywhere in Europe.
The exclusive project, which has gone on sale through Colliers, forms part of the Fairmont La Hacienda Costa del Sol resort and is set within Sotogrande’s prestigious La Hacienda Links Golf course.
Designed to appeal to international high-net-worth buyers, the villas offer panoramic views across the Mediterranean towards Gibraltar and the coast of North Africa, while providing direct access to both the beach and one of Europe’s top-ranked golf courses.
The properties range from 336sqm to an expansive 1,149sqm, with landscaped gardens, private swimming pools and large terraces. Most feature four or five bedrooms, although the flagship Presidential Villa boasts more than 1,000sqm of living space and nine bedrooms.
Owners will also have access to the full suite of five-star hotel services provided by Fairmont La Hacienda Costa del Sol, including 24-hour concierge and security, housekeeping, a luxury spa and wellness centre, gym, children’s club, fine dining experiences and bespoke lifestyle services.

The hotel itself was acquired last summer by ASG Homes (Activum SG) in a €175million deal.
The development has been designed by dAAr Arquitectura, while Studio i|b|u has overseen the interior design, combining contemporary architecture with high-end finishes.
Ana Gavilanes, Associate Director of Residential Sales Advisory at Colliers in Marbella, said the project offers owners the opportunity to enjoy a private home while benefiting from professionally managed hotel operations backed by a globally recognised luxury brand.
She added that Fairmont and operator Accor will provide the highest standards of service while helping maximise the long-term value of each property through professional hospitality management.
The development also allows owners to combine private residential use with a professionally operated tourism model, a concept that has become increasingly popular among luxury buyers seeking both lifestyle benefits and investment returns.
The launch further strengthens Sotogrande’s position as one of southern Europe’s fastest-growing luxury property destinations, offering a quieter and more nature-focused alternative to Marbella while continuing to attract affluent international buyers.
