This is the moment a British tourist escaped death when he was pulled out of the waters of Puerto Banus in Marbella.
Footage shared on Instagram shows the reveller floating between boats late at night while ‘semi-conscious’.
Iliad Alejandro, one of the two men who fished him out of the water, confirmed to the Spanish Eye today that he was British.
He said the Brit ‘was okay and went home afterwards.’
Alejandro told the Spanish Eye: ‘It happened on May 9 but the video just got shared. They heard him fall in and it was all chaotic and no one knew what to do so I just jumped down onto a boat and grabbed his foot and we pulled him out.
‘This is not the first time someone has fallen in the port.’
He advised anyone drinking in Banus to stay away from the water as it is easier to fall in than you think.
According to witnesses, he had fallen in while trying to vomit into the water.
Two workers from a nearby bar can be seen struggling to pull him to safety.
After about 60 seconds, they manage to drag him up onto the decking of a boat, with one saying: ‘He almost died.’
He then tells the rescued man: ‘You’re a very lucky man!’, before high-fiving and hugging his colleague.
A group of Brits can be heard filming the clip, with one commenting that if no one had heard him fall in he would have died.

‘You’re gonna struggle to pull him in, he’s a big lad,’ one can be heard saying.
The post uploaded online read: ‘My PR friend heard a strange gnawing noise among the boats last night. He went over and saw an elderly gentleman drowning.
‘He had gone over to vomit and fallen into the water. Thanks to the quick intervention of the security staff at News Cafe Banus, the man’s life was saved.
‘Thanks to the News Cafe staff, and especially to (@iamgamard12), for upholding the dignity of this wonderful profession.’
