The small inland village of Cañete la Real is gearing up for one of its tastiest events of the year, as the annual Turkey Gastronomy Fair returns on April 25-26.
For one weekend, the town transforms into a buzzing food hotspot with turkey firmly in the spotlight.
Held across Plaza de la Paz and surrounding streets, the fair blends local food, live music and family-friendly activities, drawing visitors from across the province.
Saturday kicks off at midday with the opening of the traditional food market, where visitors can sample not just turkey, but a range of local produce.
From 1pm, there’ll be tastings of pork products alongside a cava tasting hosted in collaboration with Sant Sadurni d’Anoia.
The afternoon ramps up with flamenco from the Tania dance school, a fashion show, and live music from Maleando, before DJ Jorge Tallon takes over into the evening.

Sunday brings the main event
Sunday shifts the focus back to tradition, starting with the classic local breakfast of bread and olive oil at 11am.
At midday, a historical reenactment of El Tempranillo adds a cultural twist, before live performances take over, including singer Nora Lopez.
But the highlight comes at 2pm: a mass turkey tasting in the town square, complete with live music from charanga band The Pingüinos.
The day wraps up with a concert from Gonzalo Alhambra and a final DJ set to close the weekend.
