Manilva town hall has issued a warning to residents after the local river burst its banks on Sunday.
It said all access roads connected to the Rio Manilva have been cut off by emergency services as a safety precaution.
The ayuntamiento said in a post on Instagram that anyone who needs urgent assistance should call the 112 emergency number.
It comes after the Costa del Sol was placed on a red weather alert by state weather agency Aemet on Sunday.
Aemet is warning of up to 120mm of rainfall per square metre in the affected areas, covering the Costa del Sol and Guadalhorce Valley.

The public weather service said the western half of the Costa del Sol is expected to be worst hit by the weather, which was expected to last well into late Sunday night.
Flooding was already seen in Manilva by early afternoon, with firefighters pictured pumping affected homes that had been inundated with muddy water.
