An adorable little dog named Leo is recovering with an animal charity after almost being killed in the recent floods in Malaga.
Local resident Mariano went viral on social media after he was filmed wading through mud and water to pick him up following severe storms last weekend.
The pup was rescued in Cartama, in inland Malaga, which saw some of the worst of the flooding.
It was thought the dog had an owner but he has no microchip and no one has collected him from a local pound.
He is now being cared for by Adopte Su Mascota in Alhaurin el Grande, with the charity waiting to see if his owner comes to pick him up.

The page wrote: ‘Our little Leo was a victim of the floods last weekend. The current of the Guadalhorce River was sweeping him away when @mariano.vxt saw him trapped and didn’t hesitate to jump into the water to rescue him.
‘Leo is not yet available for adoption; we hope his family will come forward. If not, we already have a potential adopter for him, and we’re sure nothing bad will ever happen to him again.’
When Leo first arrived to the centre, they wrote: ‘This little dog was picked up yesterday in Cartama and doesn’t have a microchip.
‘He’s very sweet and affectionate, so we think someone must be looking for him.’
