Police have slammed a cruel pet owner who dumped their dog inside a rubbish container in Andalucia this week.
Pictures shared by the Policia Nacional show the heartbreaking moment the pup was found inside the metal bin in Cordoba.
The force said a member of the public called them after believing they had seen the perpetrator put an animal in there.

The horrific act came amid sweltering temperatures in the region, which have reached 40C in Cordoba province.
Police wrote on X: ‘He was crying silently… Poor little thing!
‘Puppy thrown in the trash in high temperatures: alone, dehydrated, invisible to many…
‘But someone saw him being thrown into a dumpster and called the E112 Andalucia
‘Our patrol arrived in time, and he was able to be rescued.’
