A British expat’s pub has been vandalised just weeks after suffering a break in which saw charity tins stolen and machinery damaged.
The Rose and Thistle in La Duquesa, Manilva, was targeted on Saturday when a rock was thrown through one of its windows.
Owner Simon Dearing told the Spanish Eye that he has little faith in the police ‘doing anything’, after a previous break-in in late March has yet to see any arrests.
He told this paper: ‘The alarm went off but unfortunately the cameras didn’t catch anything. Now it sounds like vandalism. I can’t say any more at the moment.’

Simon said he believes he knows who was behind the incident, but could only confirm that they were not Spanish or Moroccan.
Announcing the incident on Facebook on Saturday, the Rose and Thistle pub told its 5,000 followers: ‘Another attempted break in, this time the alarms did the job but unfortunately we didn’t catch the t**t who smashed it on camera.
‘A pointless ask, but if anyone has any info please pass it on. Guardia Civil has been and gone, again pointless.
‘Anyone with a bar tab, please square it up this week so I can pay for this latest mess… I pretty much give up now.’
It comes after a thieves broke into the Rose and Thistle on March 22.
The thugs broke the same window and stole a series of charity tins and attempted to force open the betting machine.
The incidents followed a series of similar break-ins in the Manilva area.
Several people were arrested over the crime spree in mid-March but were released on bail just 24 hours before the Rose and Thistle was first targeted.
