A woman has died following a horror multi-car pileup on the Costa Blanca.
The 55-year-old had to be cut from her vehicle following the incident on the AP-7 in Finestrat, near Benidorm, on Sunday morning.
Four vehicles collided on the motorway at around 7am, reports TodoAlicante, leaving nine people injured and hospitalised.
The fatal victim was rushed to La Vila Joiosa Hospital in a ‘very serious’ condition, where she ultimately died of her injuries.
The other victims included three minors, aged 10, 13, and 17, who were also taken to hospital.
The driver who caused the accident tested negative for alcohol and drugs, it was reported.
A 64-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were taken to the Marina Baixa Hospital for minor bruises.
Meanwhile, a 39-year-old man, a 49-year-old woman and a man whose age is unknown were transferred to the Benidorm Clinic.
