Dramatic scenes are beginning to emerge from the Grazalema region of Cadiz, which is being hit hardest by the passing of Storm Leonardo.
The region is under a red alert from state weather agency Aemet, with more than 300mm of rain per square metre having already fallen by 2pm on Wednesday.
Footage from the epicentre of the storm show streets completely submerged by water.
Homes and schools are also seen filling with water, as residents try in vain to sweep the deluge out of their properties.
In one clip, water can be seen gushing out from the floor tiles like a fountain.
In Ubrique, at least one person is injured after a house on a hill was completely destroyed by a rock fall.
Footage shared online showed how the white house had been obliterated by a huge boulder, which went on to crush a car.
According to Andalucia minister Antonio Sanz, the injured person has suffered ‘multiple traumas’. Their current condition is unknown.
Ubrique is located between the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park and the Los Alcornocales Natural Park.
