An adorable pet dog missing from the Cordoba train disaster has finally been located by rescuers – but not yet captured.
Little Boro survived the collision in Adamuz on Sunday night but fled the scene ‘scared and terrified’.
While he has not yet been captured, his location is known and is being monitored by animal experts.
PACMA told reporters that Boro was found by the Guardia Civil but managed to escape when they tried to capture him.
According to local animal rights group Tribu Animalistaubuntu, the dog was spotted around 4pm.
Volunteer firefighters have also joined the search in a bid to reunite Boro with his desperate owner.
‘The situation has been extremely delicate and, out of respect for the family, it was agreed to maintain discretion,’ the group explained in a story posted on Instagram.
Would-be volunteers have been asked to stay away from the area, as they may disrupt the rescue mission.

Boro’s owner, Ana Garcia Aranda, 26, was traveling with her pregnant sister Raquel and her brother-in-law when the train left the tracks and derailed.
She told El Español how she picked him up in the immediate aftermath of the crash, but that he was so scared that he ran away.
She said Boro is very skittish and would probably run away as soon as someone tried to approach him.
PACMA has therefore ruled out mass searches or mobilising volunteers near the train tracks.
The animal rights group said Boro has been seen but is yet to be captured, but that hope remains among his family.
