A food safety warning has been issued after authorities confirmed the presence of metal and rubber pieces in a batch of a popular chicken noodle soup.
Spain’s Food Safety and Nutrition Agency (AESAN) said it had been notified by Romanian authorities via the EU’s Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF).
The alert was triggered after the manufacturer itself reported the incident to regulators, as required by law.
The affected product is Knorr chicken noodle soup, in particular sachets with an expiry date of 04/2027.
If the packets contain lot number 527922C93 or 528022C93, then you must throw it away and do not eat it.

AESAN said the affected soup has been distributed in Andalucia, the Balearic Islands, Catalonia, the Canary Islands, Castilla-La Mancha, Galicia and Madrid, though further regions may also be affected.
Authorities advise anyone who has purchased soup from these batches to check the lot code and avoid consumption if it matches those listed.
No illnesses or injuries have been reported.
