A manhunt is underway after a burglary gang were caught on camera targeting British homes on the Costa del Sol.
Footage shared by Kevin McCourt, from Northern Ireland, shows the moment a woman tried to open his front door in Mijas, before he ‘scared her off’ by making noises.
Unfortunately, she did not stop there, as she was later seen on camera breaking into the home of Kevin’s neighbour, alongside men wearing face masks.
The home invasion occurred in the urbanisation of La Noria on Saturday afternoon.
Kevin said: ‘Folks, anyone in La Noria be aware, caught this low life trying our apartment door, lucky we have cameras and alarm, I was able to scare her off.’
His neighbour Rima Brown was less fortunate, after falling prey to the gang.
She told the Spanish Eye: ‘It was 1.20pm during daylight… they took a lot of jewellery I bought from Dubai and Hong Kong and money.

‘But I am happy to still have the things that have sentimental value.’
Rima spent the whole day at the police station giving evidence and a statement, including a video of the alleged getaway car.
However, she claimed police told her they could not stop the vehicle without an arrest warrant.
‘Unfortunately, they cannot touch the scumbags because they were not doing anything wrong when they saw where the car was,’ she said.
‘So it needs to be caught in the act or they must have a warrant of arrest.’
Rima said she could not comment further on the case as the investigation is ongoing.
