Dean Huijsen has been spending his summer holidays in Marbella after signing with Real Madrid.
The towering centre-back has never lost touch with his roots, having moved to the Costa del Sol from the Netherlands at the age of five.
The 19-year-old was spotted this week training in the city with the Real Madrid Castilla team, before donating a signed shirt for a cancer fundraising gala in August.
The signed national team jersey will be auctioned on August 2 at the Marbella Cancer Association’s charity gala, set to be held at the Finca de la Concepción.
In a show of support, he also sent a video message backing the cause.
Huijsen was the first player confirmed in Spain’s transfer window this summer.
His move from Bournemouth to Real Madrid – reportedly for around €60 million – was confirmed in June.
