This is the moment Donald Trump photobombed the lifting of the World Cup trophy in New York on Sunday.
The US president is seen congratulating the Spanish victors once again before attempting to remain on the stage, where players were preparing to go wild for the traditional celebratory photo.
In the clip, a couple of players try to gesture at Trump to move along, only for him to walk to the edge of the team but remain on the stage.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino is then seen running across the podium before awkwardly trying to pull Trump away from them.
The sequence quickly went viral, with social media users mocking the incident.
One person wrote:’Donald Trump did it again… he stayed on the podium while Spain lifted the World Cup.’
Another said: ‘Spain lifting the World Cup with Trump in the picture while Infantino asks him to move. Made in USA.’
A third joked: ‘Trump: ‘I’m going to be in that photo no matter what.”
Others criticised the US president more directly, adding: ‘The nerve of Trump grabbing the cup and staying for the champions’ photo.’
