This is the moment a fight broke out in Benalmadena following England’s dramatic World Cup semi-final defeat to Argentina on Wednesday night.
Footage shared online shows a skirmish happening between fans outside a bar in Bonanza square.
At one moment, a reveller can be seen picking up a chair in an attempt to use it as a weapon.
Witnesses on social media claimed the fight was sparked by rival fans.
While the cause of the skirmish has not been confirmed, it followed what authorities had described as ‘the most high risk match of the tournament’ due to the intense rivalry between the two sides.
Ultimately, Lionel Messi’s team won 2-1 to reach the final against Spain in New York on Sunday.
The two goals, scored in the final minutes of the match, sent fans wild across the Costa del Sol.
Hundreds of Argentina supporters flooded the streets of Fuengirola, waving flags, singing and celebrating their side’s victory.
Videos showed chanting crowds packing the seafront and town centre.
It is not yet clear what sparked the altercation in Benalmadena, whether anyone was injured, or if police were called to the scene.
