Passengers can now fly directly between Malaga and Venice after Wizz Air launched its first-ever route linking the Costa del Sol with the iconic Italian city.
The Hungarian low-cost airline will operate the new service between Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport and Venice Marco Polo Airport four times a week.
Flights will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, offering year-round travellers another direct European connection from the Costa del Sol.
To mark the inaugural service, passengers boarding the first flight were treated to a commemorative cake before departure.
The celebration was attended by Malaga Airport’s new director, Sergio Millanes, and Julia Adam, Wizz Air’s head of ground operations.
The new route adds eight weekly flight movements at Malaga Airport – four arrivals and four departures – further strengthening links between Andalucía and northern Italy.
