A British tourist and her pet dog have been found alive and well after vanishing in Spain while driving back to the UK.
Before being found on Tuesday, Wendy Iles was last known to be outside Valencia, between Silla, Alfafar and Russafa on May 24.
The appeal stated that she was travelling with her beloved springer spaniel, Beau, nicknamed ‘Bozie’ – who has now also been found.
Wendy had been travelling from Cumbre del Sol to Caen in France in order to catch a ferry back to Britain, but reportedly missed the crossing on Saturday, May 23.
On Wednesday afternoon, Wendy’s daughter told the Spanish Eye that she was heading back to the UK.
‘Mum’s been found!’, she said, adding: ‘I’m flying back to UK with mum tomorrow and made arrangements for Beau to travel back Sunday.’
She confirmed that her mother ‘is doing okay’.
Wendy is believed to have suffered a tyre blowout on a motorway near Silla, just south of Valencia city.

Authorities in both the UK and Spain had been involved in the search effort.
