A father and his toddler daughter have been found dead in Torrevieja in a suspected murder suicide.
The Guardia Civil is investigating the incident as a possible ‘murder by proxy’.
Such cases, also referred to as ‘vicarious violence’, occur when an attacker harms or kills the relatives of their spouse or family member to cause them pain.
According to reports, the girl in Torrevieja was aged ‘two or three’.
All the evidence suggests that the father took his own life.
