Local Police arrested a man on suspicion of drug trafficking after dismantling the operation inside a premises at the Las Terrazas shopping centre in Riviera del Sol.
The arrest took place during a preventive patrol in the area when officers noticed people repeatedly entering and leaving the establishment.
Police decided to stop one of the ‘customers’, discovering he was carrying a heat-sealed bag of marijuana, which he admitted purchasing inside the shop.
Officers carried out an inspection and identified the person responsible for the business and discovered various quantities of drugs along with materials used to prepare and distribute them.
They seized two bags of marijuana weighing 489 grams and 681 grams, as well as a bag containing 865 grams of hashish resin. Police also found 164 marijuana cigarettes already prepared for sale.
Officers additionally confiscated 79 glass jars, 23 plastic containers, heat-sealed envelopes and bags containing filters for marijuana cigarettes, along with two digital precision scales believed to have been used to prepare and distribute the drugs.

Police also found €3,469.90 in cash and £225 inside the premises, which were seized as part of the operation.
All seized substances, materials and cash were later transferred to the Guardia Civil barracks in Mijas, together with the corresponding chain of custody documentation so that further legal proceedings can continue.
