A 24-year-old man has died in a motorbike crash with a car on a busy road in Malaga.
The fatal accident happened on the MA-21 motorway at around 2pm on Saturday, according to Spain’s 112 emergency service.
The collision took place at kilometre 1 of the road heading towards Algeciras, when the motorcycle and a car crashed for reasons that are still being investigated.
The motorcyclist suffered extremely serious injuries in the impact.
Paramedics from the 061 emergency medical service, along with officers from the Local Police and the Guardia Civil traffic unit, rushed to the scene.
Despite their efforts, emergency crews were unable to save the young rider, who died at the site.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine exactly how the crash happened.
