This is the moment a suspected kidnapper was handcuffed on the Costa del Sol on Sunday.

Photos shared online show the grey-haired suspect laying face down on the ground with his hands behind his back.

Policia Local officers can be seen standing above him while a crowd of people have gathered round.

According to witnesses, the individual had attempted to abduct a girl from Fuengirola’s weekly street market.

One claimed: ‘This man tried to abduct a girl in Reina Sofia Park, near the Fuengirola street market.

‘The police have already taken him into custody, but be careful when he leaves in case he tries again.’

It is not known if the man has been formally arrested or charged.

The Spanish Eye has contacted the local police for comment.
