Hundreds of earthquakes hit Malaga and Cadiz in a week: What to know as monitoring increased

The Policia Local of Algodonales said in a statement: ‘We inform you that the A-374 road towards Ronda is currently impassable.

‘The severe damage caused by the rains has left the road surface completely destroyed, with sinkholes, landslides, and areas where traffic is impossible.’

The pictures attracted hundreds of comments from locals who branded them ‘surreal’.

One wrote: ‘This seems surreal, but it’s the reality: roads that haven’t been maintained for years, how little safety we’ve had.
